Faber Castell Polychromes colour pencil on 270 gm acid free Bristol paper, unframed

As an artist, colour is incredibly important to me. Colour is completely subjective and relative, and in this work, I've combined some intensely rich colours together to create a feeling of great energy, yet restraint too.
I am interested in the pure elements of landscape refining my vision to allow these to shine. Hills and ambiguous moon/sun/cloud shapes are ongoing motifs in my work and feature in Study for a Landscape #11. Modernism is a hugely important influence in my work, and this series of works I am creating in 2018 are very much a conversation with late Modernism.
This work is made with archival artist quality Faber Castell Polychromos colour pencils on acid free 270 gm Bristol paper (a high quality drawing paper). Colour pencils, while traditionally viewed as a child's drawing tool, are actually wonderful for creating incredible depth of colour in laborious layers of colour. I hope you enjoy it!
This work will require framing.
