This framed and glazed original watercolour ink and wash features a study of the very elegant Supermarine Southampton flying boat used by various air-forces around the world in the 1920's and 1930's. This particular aircraft was one of two flown by the RAAF who acquired them in 1927. In service they proved to be very reliable aircraft but sadly none have been preserved. I like to think that my painting will help keep their memory alive.
The framed work measures 45.5 cm x 36.5 cm x 2 cm.
