This is a circular piece. After the meditation practice‚ I start with Japanese calligraphy ink‚ Oyster shell powder‚ and layers of mineral pigments‚ gold leaf as well as western painting materials until it feels right.
‘Soul Portrait ‘ explores the possibility of human appearance without physical existence and how it changes based on the life event and mood‚ feelings‚ surroundings.
‘Soul Portraits’ also contains meaning and intention of harmony and oneness. Creating calming soothing surface provide opportunity to the viewer to experience the relaxation and find a peace that comes from within.
