Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

I absolutely love to paint these treasures. The contrast of the silver blue foliage and the vibrant explosions of reds and pinks when they flower, make them a treat to discover on the canvas.
The eucalyptus macrocarpa are endemic to my little part of Australia. A beautiful and very decorative small mallee tree with the largest of all the Eucalypt flowers which can be up to 10cms in diameter. It blooms in spring to summer, mostly red or pink-red. The subsequent gumnuts are also a feature, and are large and silvery.
