Artwork Description

Eighty Mile Beach is an endless stretch of white sand that extends for 220 kilometres. It is scattered with tropical seashells that contrast with the seagrass meadows and tidal creeks on the landward side.

This panoramic vista is made breath taking by the vivid turquoise waters as the tide flows in ( the tidal range can be as high as 9 metres). Many grey nomads come back year on year for the beach fishing and Pilbara locals head there at weekends to relax, it has to be seen to be believed.
