The curlew is an extraordinary bird: long skinny legs, and elegant yellow eyes and a surprisingly delicate lean body. I had the great pleasure of meeting this fellow earlier this year. His carer calls him Stewie. I took many photos of him. While Stewie didn't think much of that at all, I was absolutely entranced by him.
