Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

I painted this flower thinking it would be easy as it was just yellow. "Well I got that wrong"! It's not just yellow anywhere and so an exploration with shades of yellow and the delicate way they transition from one area to the next due to the effects of the differing strengths of light and shadow. To paint it is to see and feel the emotions associated with the colours again.
