'I See You' is a contemporary acrylic portrait that brings together realism with abstract elements. Layers of vibrant tones of pink, deep raspberry and a pale blue have been applied in thin and thick layers and loosely blended, creating an abstract background with depth and texture. Several layers of very thin and translucent colours form the image of the face, creating a veiled effect that allows some of the underlying colours to shine through. The addition of pops of neon pink capture the illusion that the face is 'glowing'. Colourful and bold, yet soft and dreamy, this painting is a vibrant statement piece.

Please note: I have left this piece unvarnished as I prefer the natural finish of paint whilst also eliminating glare from any lighting sources that varnishing can cause. However, I am happy to apply a varnish if this is your preference.
