“The only real prison is fear, and the only real freedom is freedom from fear.” - Aung San Suu Kyi

As many of you may know I don’t paint birds very often, but when I do it’s normally a self-projection.
From where I live in Bayswater, there is a big field of open woodland near my studio.
The grassland is always my favourite playground, especially during the lockdown. I often accompanied by varies local birds such as cockatoos, magpies, colourful rosellas, lorikeets and kookaburras during the walk.

Pink Cockatoos / Major Mitchell's Cockatoo are hard to miss, with their pink colouring and distinctive red and white crest.
These friendly, playful, highly social birds represent inner influence, balance, joy, abundance.
I often see pink cockatoos having launch under the winter sun peacefully or fly up to the branches in flock playfully. It’s one of my favourite scenes to enjoy.

I captured the magical scene with my eyes, froze the moment with my paint brushes and canvas, worked on it for quite sometimes in my studio.
This artwork is also painted during the lock down in Victoria as we are having it again.
A special isolation diary that I wrote with my paint brushes. Hope you enjoy this original artwork of mine.

A latest piece of my animal series -THE VOICE OF NATURE -.

Affirmation:
Show appreciation and love and the rest shall come to you.

I would like to share the concept behind this piece if you have a bit of time.
I started this artwork around February. It’s been a long journey, sunny days and rainy days. Long working hours required determination and faith to be achieved. I spent almost every day studying those intricate compositions and fine details. The process wasn’t an easy task but It’s a challenge that I enjoyed, and I am happy to say I finally have it completed in May.
By the time I have this artwork completed, I decided to name this artwork - A Life Time Story, which is an extension from my previous award-winning artwork – A Life Time Journey, A Life time blessing, and A Life Time Love.

In this particular painting, the delicate, exotic orchid represents love, luxury, beauty, and strength. In ancient Greece, orchids were associated with virility. Pink roses are symbolic of gratitude and appreciation.
Flowers represent us as humans, the wood tray and vases as the body carrying our soul and physical body, protecting us as a shield in the natural order.
The weaving basket stands for connections, the connection between families, friends, all the people around us. Even if you are apart, everyone is still being linked together as a whole, stronger together. Every passenger in our life, every stranger, people who are meant to cross our path for a reason, plays an irreplaceable role in this lifetime story.

This artwork is inspired by a graceful floral arrangement that I spotted in the local nursery. However, the side story- If you look close enough, you may notice from the details that there is something different from my usual approach.
In fact, these gorgeous blooms were referenced from artificial/ Man-made flowers. Due to the restriction in the covid era, that was somehow the best that I could get at that time.
I decided to be true to myself and to the time we live in, so I painted those as it is, kept the real details and let the viewer know the true story behind the scene.
Because we are all part of this story, and the story goes on. We write our story individually, meanwhiles, together as a whole. It is also a reminder of the special time that we come through. Our body kept us strong, alive, and healed, the heroes who keep the world moving.
The messages that I wanted to deliver to the viewer are the vitality and endless possibilities, the greater love that I experienced during my art process, and from mother nature.
Being inspired by nature enlighten me in all aspects of life. I started with some small projects, gaining enormous joy and peacefulness from the process. Then I started to work on more detailed and bigger pieces, at the same time, focusing on developing skills and my own style, which is a challenge that I set for myself from time to time, and a challenge I enjoyed with no doubt.

I am grateful and beyond humbled that I have had the love and support from my collectors and gallery since I started. What is even better is I get to know a little bit more about how the artwork plays an important role in their life. Gradually, Art is no longer a one-man journey to me when I started to get lovely feedbacks from collectors around the world, sharing their joyful experiences and inspirations from my artworks.

For people who read through the description, thank you for joining me on a life time story- a story that I write with my paintbrushes, the one last for a life time.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this artwork.

-Bloom like flowers -
In this signature series of mine, flowers as the object represent life itself to me.
Our own will to be alive, and the way we want to be alive.
While I carefully paint these tiny flower petals or built up those fine leaves’ vines, it is like the way we try to figure out those uncertainties, furthermore, to be able to be closer to the truth a little bit more.

Freesias are often used in wedding occasion as decor or bridal bouquets.
Due to the delicate fragrance, freesias are one of the most popular flowers in the world.
It is also the flower of trust, selflessness and friendship.
Giving Freesia to someone has a meaning of saying thank you to the person who has performed gracefully under difficult conditions.

Eucalyptus flowers also have the symbolic meaning of Healing and Protection.
The flower always blooms in its own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season. Hope you enjoy this artwork of mine.

Affirmation -
Brave to be bold, to be different and born to be yourself.
Grevillea - primarily native to Australia, are evergreen shrubs or trees of great beauty with needle-like to fern-like foliage and incredibly flamboyant flowers.
It has magnificent flowers in varied shapes and forms. Most have long flowering periods. The species I encountered in my neighbourhood is peaches and cream- has the most stunning, harmonic greenish- yellowy -pinkish colour hue.
In this painting, the flowers stand out gloriously from the leaves at the background.
It is one of my favourite trees. I adore the beauty of it every day I walk into the woods.
The bloom of it stands for Boldness, Strength and Courage.
Exactly what I would like to express in this piece.
