Banksia coccinea, native to SW Western Australia, also known as the scarlet banksia, waratah banksia or Albany banksia, is an erect shrub or small tree in the family Proteaceae. Banksia coccinea plants are killed by bushfire, and regenerate from seed.
Banksia flower stands for New beginnings

Billy buttons also know as woollyheads, are Australian native plants with golden ball-shaped flowers and grow in dry forest, grassland and alpine regions in NSW.
Billy Balls (Craspedia) symbolized Good Health, which is also the fundamental requirement to manifest our dream.

Affirmation: Together , we can do anything we want, go anywhere we want to go.

I am HSIN LIN , Full Time Artist based in Melbourne Australia , obsessed with the beauty of flowers .
From where I live in Bayswater, there is a big field of forest nearby.
My creating process normally start from a short walk into the woods, touching the texture of the barks, feeling the sunlight reflecting on the leaves and grasses .
I then collect whatever I found during the walk as inspiration.
Sometimes would be the gum tree, oak tree, pine tree leaves, or bird feathers; in autumn I have acorns, and wattles in winter. There's only one rule for my collecting process, never take from the living tree/life.
I collect what had fallen only, and those are the gift from the nature of the day for me.

Original Artwork. <br> We stopped by in Sorrento Pier on a day trip to Point Nepean National Park during the long weekend. Several of yachts and boats rest by the pier. It was Australia Day; People laugh and gather with family on the beach. A delightful, tranquil moment to be at ease. I think of my family and the people I love; hope they are having a good time too. I totally agree with it. This is a very calming scene that I see often in a particular spot by the window that I do my daily meditation at home, sitting on an old chair with nostalgic pattern on it that my lovely neighbour left me. The yuletide camellia bloom beautifully in the winter on my front yard. <br> My cat Cadbury sometime sit by the window, by my side, and look at me with her lovable, big round eyes while I do my daily meditation. It's quiet, like time froze at that magical moment. This artwork was inspired by my visit to the Ballarat Bird World. I spent a wonderful day observing all our precious Australian Native Birds. Rosella has the spiritual meaning of eternal love, devotion, or a shared journey in life. <br> Pale-headed Rosella (Platycercus adscitus) are common in Australia, their vivid hues enriching the colour in nature whenever we see them. The Pale yellow and blue rosella can be easily identified by its iconic white and yellow head. Endemic to eastern Australia. Each bird has different appearance, different personality, and each one of them might remind you of that specific, special friend of yours. That person might be bubbly, fun or even weird in an amazing way, and you love them no matter what. <br> That’s why I name this series – Family by Choice. Hope you enjoy this original series of mine.
