I was in holiday back home and was lucky enough to encountered the epiphyllum plant flowered in one of the nights. My mother has it for over 10 years, the sight was absolutely beautiful and the flowers smells divine.
There's also a saying that if the epiphyllum plant produce a lot of flowers, the family will have a good year next year.

Epiphyllum flowers symbolizes admiration, patience and good spirits.
Flowers are usually white, sometimes with yellow or pink sepals.
Those are also known as "Orchid Cactus" because of the flowers which resemble some orchid species. The flowers are impressive in size, color and fragrance. Like all cacti, Epiphyllums have stems, but no leaves. In the wild, Epiphyllum grows between tree branches and into rock crevices.
The genus includes one of the most expensive flowers in the world – Epiphyllum oxypetalum, also known as Queen of the Night.
