Artwork Description

Mixed Media on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Some lovely plants called Love-In-A-Mist grew in my garden and when the flowers died these fantastic seed pods remained. The botanical name is Nigella damascena. They only have a short flowering period but are well worth it.
Each canvas panel measures 25x25cms and they can be arranged in any order to suit the space. Extra gesso was applied to the canvas to give some texture, then I used a small roller to apply the paint for something different for the background. A brush was used to depict the pods and then pen and ink to outline and detail.
