A close friend lent me some photo's from her own mother's childhood. This is the painting that came out of those images. I put a lot more detail into this piece than I usually do, it features cut-outs, collage and even gold leaf to illustrate the pictures of my friend's mother and the photos of the rodeo and fox hunting. The photographs would have been taken in Dubbo, NSW in the 1960s.
gold leaf, pencil pen, ink, watercolour, gouache and masking tape on paper.
