***************
I have reduced the price of this painting due to the effect of Corona Virus on the world economy and my income. I am hoping it helps some buyers to beautify their homes in this current situation and be able to support a sole trader - artist (that's me), at the same time.
Prices will return to normal when the world does.

Magnified molecules. Life enlarged. The invisible otherworlds within our own. Peering into miniscule spheres where molecular life forms float peacefully across and through all things.

The otherworldly beauty of miniscule life forms inspires my paintings. I examine the life forces, colour energies and inner landscapes inherent in all things microscopic, sub-atomic and aquatic. I abstract these miniscule patterns of life, cellular and molecular formations, enlarging them into paintings where illusionary forms gather and float in fields of deep space.

Ultimately the paintings are about our sense of awe and wonder at these miraculous building blocks of life. Fields of organic forms in arrangements that reflect the natural patterns of the universe and relate to a topography of our souls. The hope is that the paintings trigger an uplifting, contemplative experience for the viewer. An experience that reminds us of both the unseen beauty in nature, and of our delicate relationship to this fragile world and the magnificence of all things.

This artwork is also heavily influenced by POP art. The dots in the painting have a direct relationship with the dots used in mass media print images. This art series deals with lines of communication and literally puts print images under the microscope.

A long time ago, I started exploring newspaper photo images under visual devises such as magnifying glasses and microscopes. I then abstracted the dots I saw in paint, reproducing and manipulating the images by hand. The paintings became these crazy clusters of rhythmic vibrating spots and dots somewhat like what I imagine are pulsating through space all the time with the transmitting of information through the 21st century ether like molecules and atoms made real. This series is as much about seeing as it is about the process of making as well as the infinite visual possibilities contained within imperceptible things.

This painting really does represent a cross over between my passions for dot world, the natural world, all things microscopic, molecular and especially things about seeing and looking.

Mostly, what I enjoy about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as giving their walls a splash of colour and talking point for years to come.

ALL PAINTINGS ARE VARNISHED with Professional Quality Artists Varnish, once they have been photographed. This gives a protective surface and an exquisite sheen that really makes the colours powerful & eye-catching.
The painting is on canvas wrapped around traditional wooden stretcher bars with edges that are a smart 3.5cm deep out from your wall.
The edges are cleaned, staple free and painted a rich black to compliment the painting.
Ready to put on your wall with hanging wire on back.
Painting is signed and titled verso.
