This painting has a brilliant aqua and green colour vibration and glows like a jewel on the wall. The light and colour create an otherworldly tranquility. It continues with my fascination in the beauty of micro-worlds and all things of the sea.
'I feel like I am gently floating like jelly-fish' is a lovely comment I so often receive from this series. What I often enjoy about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness.
Inspired by the beautiful microscopic worlds of all existence and the life giving nature of water. I wanted the painting to be floaty and serene with a light and gentle atmosphere. Calming on the mind and soft on the eye. A peaceful energy field of organic forms swaying across the picture plane.
What I enjoy most about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as giving their walls finesse and a splash of colour for years to come.

Jacquelyn Stephens is a Melbourne based artist who has been successfully exhibiting her paintings for over 20 years since completing a BFA in Painting at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts. She has gained an extensive knowledge of Art, quality art materials, techniques and theory from working closely within in the arts industries and in her own art practice. Jacquelyn works full time from her studio on the Melbourne fringe. She has had several successful solo and group exhibitions in commercial galleries and artists run spaces. Her paintings can be seen in many media publications and are held in private collections worldwide. Many of the key themes in her work have been informed by her interest in water, nature, science and the domain of medicine.
