Oil on wood, ready to hang.

Late March and a warm autumn Sunday morning; brunch at Fiorentina's Patisserie. The trees are dense on the roadside and the light struggles to break through. Across from our table these three men are engrossed in their conversation; unaware of the goings on surrounding them. Nothing seems too important, as the two seated lean back in their chairs and listen to the third.
Morning coffee shops seems be developing into an unintended series of paintings; perhaps this is because I spend too much time in them. They are captivating scenes in the mid-morning light; hubs for the community and packed with the activity of people that are not yet weary of their day. Ever the people watcher, the paintings are usually taken from photos that I've asked for, sat for, or taken a quick sneaky snap of.
The painting has since had a coat of varnish, that makes the colours more vibrant. Message me for more photos. Thanks for looking.
