This painting is from a set of larger works in my 'Variegated' collection and is inspired by the beautiful natural patterns found at the microscopic level of leaves, such as the green chloroplast structure within the cells of plants containing the chlorophyll to create photosynthesis. At a large scale they become decorative and delicate lace-like abstract patterns.
