This piece is semi abstract inspired by bush walks through the Noosa hinterland.
When I first moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2016 most of my weekends were spent exploring the area. I marvelled at the lushness of the tropical vegetation and how quickly plants and vines grew. I bought a book that has designated bushwalks in South East Queensland and I’ve now completed nearly all of them.
This painting depicts the density of tropical forests with the variety of leaf forms and how the golden sun throws highlights on the botanic forms.
This piece is full of movement with a versatile colour palette that would suit any room especially with earthy, terracotta tones.
