ABOUT
PCS 2 Barcelona
(Project Can Serrat)

This artwork was created when I was awarded artist in residence at the Can Serrat International Art Center in Barcelona, Spain. 2005. During this time, I completed several series of art works, as a result of solitary expeditions into the surrounding environment. This series of artworks, later, became part of a project I created, (Project Can Serrat)

Before there were online exhibitions. I wanted to create a series of cross- cultural exhibitions in other countries, for artists from all cultures. Many of the artists, I met at the residency. We've only had 2 exhibitions, so far. One in New York, and I had a solo in Australia, of paintings and sculpture, I did in Spain. This is one, in of a series of artworks, that inspired the project.

Industrial minimal painting with ultramarine blue and pink background with layers of shellac In creating this piece, I explored the rawness of materials, letting the acrylics and cement forge a terrain of emotion. The abstract forms evoke a sense of nature's transformative power, with minimalist hues breathing tranquility into space. Observers can feel a connection to earthy elements, inviting contemplation and serenity into their home.Beautifully framed abstract painting. Lots of texture with splashes of concrete and ultramarine blues. Fully sealed with custom made sealer and surrounded by a white washed wooden veneer contemporary frame. Modern, industrial style decor. In creating this piece, I explored the rawness of materials, letting the acrylics and cement forge a terrain of emotion. The abstract forms evoke a sense of nature's transformative power, with minimalist hues breathing tranquility into space. Observers can feel a connection to earthy elements, inviting contemplation and serenity into their home. Textural , minimal abstract painting bold ,yet, gentle and calm. Contemporary wood veneer, white- washed frame. Ready to hang. In this piece, I celebrate raw texture and nuanced shades, layering acrylic and cement to create a tactile surface that invites contemplation. This artwork embodies resilience, transformation, and the subtle dance between chaos and order. It's a passionate exploration of materiality that will bring a dynamic, reflective energy into any space In this piece, I explored the raw, passionate energy of the color red through the blending of acrylics and shellac. The interplay of texture and hue creates a palpable emotion on canvas—evoking a sense of depth and mystery. Conceived within the realms of abstract and minimalism, the painting serves as a conduit of emotional intensity bringing a vibrant and emotive atmosphere.
