This work initially began as an imaginary piece while working on the architecture‚ although I did have Gothic architecture in mind. Later on I did reference specific Gothic architectural and ornamental elements as indicated in the panels and figures.
This work also offered the opportunity to focus the interior Vs exterior‚ a principle I find attractive‚ especially when it has a slightly bizarre appearance like this‚ where the grandiose interior is set within a forest.
