In this work my focus was definitely on trying to capture a sense of vastness coupled with a slightly dreamy quality. Another strong aim was to establish a slightly strange, almost ornamental treatment of the clouds that suggest movement, as if they had a life of their own.
What I love about images like these is the lack of reference to a particular time - this could be the past, present or the future.
The landscape here is based on an area in the Eastern Desert in Egypt.
