Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

Yued refers to the Noongar language north of Perth. The Yued region is where my ancestors were born, including myself in the town of Moora, 170km North East of Perth.
This region is well known for the Moore River which is depicted in this painting.
This work is a celebration and acknowledgment of country. First Nations people have thrived and lived sustainably with the land we call Australia for more than 60,000 years.
This painting represents a deep sense of belonging to a place and the importance of community and connections.
