#sea abstract gold leaf

All art by jessika steiner

This piece is part of my latest series - Down by the Shoreline. Inspired by the ebb and flow of the Hawkesbury River. The subtle shifts in light and water. The calming nature of bodies of water on the human condition and how water can be used as a vehicle for rehabilitation and cure. This piece is inspired by the edge of the river, that place where magic happens.

“Audiences are delighted and surprised by Jessika’s whimsical non figurative works that encourage imagination and personal interpretation.”From my Songs from the Shore Line series, this semi-abstract piece is inspired by the waterways and sand stone rock formations of the Hawkesbury River north of Sydney where I grew up surrounded by bushland and riverscapes. It is a homage to natural light - a calm, serene take on the unique Australian bushland.
