Acrylic on canvas, ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Peacocks are almost too beautiful to try to paint. While this has some fine detail, I see this more of a design, but never-the-less, this peacock, named Bob, came to life, emerging off of an old handwritten ledger sheet from 1895. I used acrylic opaquely, as well as transparently to help it emerge from the page. Metallic gold has been added to small portions of this. The page was torn out of the book that I own. So one edge is straight, the other is varied, due to the tear pattern. Then this was mounted onto a canvas covered with 4 more vintage paper sheets. Dates are in the writing. Ready-to-hang, wire on canvas back. Sealed with natural-look protective coating for 'paper/drawings', which also gives a slight sheen to the acrylic peacock. Slight imperfections may exist, due to the 'handcrafted 'creation of this work and surface. preparation - but in keeping with the character of this unique work of art. 16 x12"
