Pastel on paper
Signed on the front.
An artist friend and I often go camping for a few days at Blanket Bay on the Great Ocean Road to paint and draw Plein Air. This pastel, looking across Blanket Bay, was done in about 5 hours in changing weather and tides. The joy of Plein air work is the windows that it opens to nature where the subject, the artist and the painting can merge in a transcendent world where time is measured in the rhythm of weather and tides
