The Barramundi Dreaming is very strong here at Mornington Island. The Barramundi people travelled from around Booraloola in the Northern Territory down into QLD. They travelled through freshwater country and saltwater islands of the coast. That is why the Barramundi can be found in both places.
Barramundi people cannot eat Barramundi as it is their totem. If they do they will become very sick.
