Ready to Hang although I suggest framing in a contemporary style.
A heavily work piece. Layers added, then removed - a process repeated over several months to produce a work reminiscent of age and decay - the outcomes of broken symmetries in nature.
Sometimes the removal process was harsh, removing and ripping through multiple dry layers, sometimes it was more gentle. The final process involved rubbing the surface with turps, gently revealing under layers and texture.
The work evolved spontaneously and naturally - allowing for the effects of chaos and chance to influence the overall look - but the longer a process is allowed to proceed, a unification of the picture plane occurs.
It's not a beautiful picture, but one that exhibits its violent creation. How does it make YOU feel?
