Marilyn Monroe painted in vibrant colours, block colour. I love painting portraits and Marilyn was such an iconic starlet. I use big brushes and loose brushstrokes to work the portrait. Have a look at the close up detail, lots of seemingly random colours, but when you stand from a distance it all comes together!
