This is an ORIGINAL oil painting, consisting of layers of 'glassies'. Not a copy painted from an other artist or from an art book! This painting does not exist in any form in the art world or being copied somewhere in Russia or China.
Being Dutch born and Dutch trained by a master artist, I was inspired by, but did not copied from the 17th Century Dutch masters, it is my legitimate heritage. This is the type of art I have used for over 50 years, and this is what I brought to the Australian multi-culture and will be know for and remembered by. Even in the Netherlands there are only a hand full of artist that still paint in this manner. A classic inspired, but contemporary work, which I do not hesitate to call a master piece.
