Our Australian desert landscape, vast and vivid, stretching to infinity under an opal sky. Sparse vegetation and gritty textured surfaces. Shifting unfocussed images as in a mirage. Limited colour palette in oil and tactile cold wax medium. You can run your hand over it to feel the landscape.Inspired by our trek along the Larapinta trail in central Australia. Vast, dry and brilliantly coloured in natural ochres, we were overwhelmed and threatened by the scale of this landscape. Best captured from above by my son's drone photography. A limited colour palette and gritty texture added to the wax medium gives a tactile experience. you can run your fingers over it.A vibrant active composition in shades of turquoise and sapphire water and rusty pink granite rocks. surface is tactile with grooves and scratches as made by the tidal embraceA bright, colourful souvenir of the City of Sydney and the Opera House, viewed from Lavender Bay, across Luna Park and surmounted by the magnificent Harbour Bridge
