This piece explores elements of pattern and colour found in the city at night. Taking traditional landscape and botanical drawing as an initial point of reference, and adding in some map references, I'm exploring the beauty that can be found in the city. So once again, this is Melbourne ... look closely and you'll see Federation Square, the Manchester Unity Building, the MCG, the Fitzroy Gardens.. as well as Melbourne's tree lined streets, a hint of the Acquarium and RMIT, not to mention the chequered tablecloths of Lygon Street and the mish-mash of a city humming with life.
