Another painting from an en plein air day with artist friends at another artist/friend place. The beautiful Mary River starts its journey through her property near Maleny. Sitting under this canopy of dense foliage is unbelievable. The dappled light, birds singing and trickling water is another world, where cares and chores become obsolete.
I recorded this scene with a watercolour painting and some photos. The final artwork was created in my studio charcoal sketch, acrylic under-painting and built up with oil paints.
