I have been fascinated by birds since I was a little girl but so much more so after travelling Australia and realising there are just so many varieties, all beautiful and enthralling, listening to their conversations as we walked in the many rainforests and woodlands and the Bush kept us smiling and imagining what they were saying as we walked beneath them. I would imagine it would be “ there goes those really weird creatures with flat feet and no wings again!”
I started the magpie series with ‘Intrepid’ and this will be the second one in that series, I have more to come as they have a special place in my heart for sure.
We have a few that visit us daily and wait around to be fed, walking in the comical way they do and obviously have no fear of us, they know us and recognise our faces , clever as they are, they know we are here to feed them well!
I have painted them in my own colourful way and ‘Anticipation’ catches one of our friends sitting, waiting for all those pesky pigeons to feed on the seeds we put out daily , waiting for our full attention , whilst keeping an eye on the surroundings, just in case an opportunity may arise of course!,
This painting is very colourful and will brighten up any area of your home , this bird will follow you too, wherever you are in that particular room too!
