Influences

ARTIST STATEMENT
My work often looks at the power of nature, beauty in decay and the impact that man has had on our environment. In 2005 a near death experience altered my whole outlook on life and death. Many of my paintings began to explore the unexpected and embrace the unpredictable. I love to experiment with natural materials, combined with collage and expressive mark making. Nature provides great inspiration for my work which comes from many years of living in the country, gaining an appreciation of creation, the country and travelling to outback Australia and New Zealand.
