' A Road Less Traveled', has evolved from the previous work, Golden End of Summer. There is a more graphic quality to this work and yet it is more abstractionist than the previous one. My intentions for this work were to express the beauty of the autumn colours within the landscape and the trees, as well as documenting the flowing movement of the hills and mountains. You will notice that flow is different in the background mountains to the foreground hills, which have a softer, gentler, more rolling disposition.

I am delighted with the way this painting turned out and yet it owes its presence to all three of the previous works in this series. Without them, this work could not have emerged into this so much more accomplished piece. Such is the value of working through a series.
