This painting repersents one of the Noongar Six Seasons Birak which occurs during the hottest time of the year between December and January. During this time the Noongar people would burn off parts of the country to make the hunt for larger game easier. The painting symbolises the Noongar men in the central circle after the hunt cooking their prey, The surrounding dot work reflects the landscape during Birak.
