Karen Elzinga Original acrylic painting 190.5cm x 114cm x 4.5cm
This painting has a white timber boarder frame around it (not pictured) which makes this work really pop with vibrancy and colour and l have to say looks amazing. The boarder is only 2cm wide approx looking front onto the painting, but covers the sides entirely with a depth of 4.5cm.
The painting is an intricate look into beach culture. It was inspired by ocean life, exploration and that holiday vibe. When you live near the beach in holiday locations this is the energy felt when your at the beach.
Beautifully painted and finished with a gloss sheen it is fully mounted and ready to hang with cord.

"I love the beach, the vibrancy, the colour, the joy and excitement of beach goers, it's a great place to be, l enjoy taking the underwater environment and combining it with the coast line. I enjoy using colour to create exciting visual interpretations that take people back to earlier childhood memories" Karen Elzinga
Karen takes commissions, if you are interesting in her style of working and would like a painting of your favorite beach or setting.
"When l paint, my first love is doing justice to the over all aesthetic of the painting, l want the painting to have balance, flow, intricacy, but also have beautiful harmonious colour. I enjoy creating beach and underwater themed work because of the feeling l get when l'm in those places. I live on the Sunshine Coast where the beaches are some of the world's best. So to paint inspired by them is a joy.
In this work l was inspired to build a relationship between the above and below, so it gives the sense that the above has an impact on what happens below the ocean.
I enjoy painting large, my paintings impact viewers in a positive way, the vibrancy and colour take people back to childhood beach memories, and bring joy and happiness.
