Artwork Description

This is the first image from my in progress series of monkeys and nudes, tentative series working title "An Inconvenient Nature". Ground is 300gsm watercolour paper which has been wetted and stretched over wooden stretcher, like canvas. A technique I've learned in my latest workshop. This is mixed media, charcoal, china marker, acrylic and pan pastels over many layers, with a satin varnish applied to each layer. The work is colour fast and does not rub off. Ready to hang

You will see the fish my subconscious reference to feeling all at sea during the pandemic.Bold but mysterious. The setting is implied as is the participant.A dark and forbidding forest which may conceal human or animal forms and a river running through it.(CreativeWork) One More For The Road by Karen Gingell.
