The Superb Fairy Wren is an Australian native bird with beautiful velvety blue and black plumage.It is a bird that I frequently use in my art .This work has a background of under painting in subtle hues of pink,pale green and lavender with a vibrant contrasting Fairy wren in rich blues,purples,magenta and greens and tones in between, overlaid with white detailed pen-work featuring native Australian flowers and Aboriginal art symbols and Australian Dragonflies.The fairy wren sits on a branch of 'Bush berries/Bush tucker an Aboriginal art symbol.
