Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed with a certificate of authenticity.

This artwork is a collaboration between my inner child, and my adult artist self. I think the joy and freedom that I feel when I paint, shows in the final painting. I only use the best quality art materials, because I put in a lot of hours into creating every piece. I usually start by covering the canvas with random marks and just play. I paint with fingers, brushes, sponges, and palette knives to apply the paint. I also spray the canvas with water after applying the paint to encourage drips. I don’t plan anything, I just let the painting emerge from the canvas. I had reached a certain point where I didn’t know what else to do, and put it away for months, and worked on other things. I finally had time to pull out this painting, and knew just what to do. It only needed a few minor details, and , voila, it was done. I normally paint the edges black, but with this one I decided to paint it turquoise teal, to match the painting. This is ready to hang. Doesn’t require framing, but might look extra nice with a frame. All my canvas paintings are varnished for protection. This painting will brighten up any room. Suitable for a family room or a child’s room or anywhere , really , where you want a splash of colour and fun.

Hippy era inspired painting which shows my spin on hippy life love, peace and rock n roll. I was not really a hippy, but I love the music and fashion of that era.
Abstract woman holding a baby or a glowing orb. Vibrant neon colours are balanced with some dark, earth tones. The woman may represent woman as goddess, mother, nurturer and symbol of feminine beauty. The painting is purely intuitive, and created from place of love and playfulness. Bird abstract design in vibrant colours.A quick impression of a female life model, in a ornate wicker chair. The woman is facing away from the viewer. Line work of a fine liner reveals that the artist was in a hurry, and knew there was no time for unnecessary detail. Line and brushwork quickly capture a moment, and required intense focus to finish the drawing in the 20 pose.
