Red coffee or tea pot and red tin mug. A reminder of a more relaxed time in the country camping or visiting grandma's farm.
Set on a cloth with retro jar and menu behind. Loosley depicted in an impressionistic style. A delicate depiction of a very rugged blossom. My process uses techniques of wet in wet and layers of transparent washes to capture the wild beauty of the Macrocarpa.A loose rendition of a vase of the beautiful spring bloom; Ranunculus. These welcome additions to the garden sure put on a colourful display. A whimsical flower much loved as a cut flower for it's lasting qualities. Ranunculus are also much loved for bridal bouquets and an elegant alternative to the rose.
I just adore the fresh joyful feeling that flowers bring .
Acrylic on stretched deep set canvas with paint edges. Ready to hang with wire across the back. The many colours and secrets of Echinacea or commonly known as cone flower.
The more you view this colourful image the more you see in the layers of mixed media.
Secret observers, words and other snippets to delight.
This painting was such fun to create, and I was able to use some of my favourite watercolour 'experiments' within this work.
Take the time to emerge within the image to find you joy.
