I am is constantly inspired by the Native flora of Australia. This piece is a portrait of a banksia in larger than life proportions. I enjoy the texture and colours of native plants, I work intuitively allowing the spontaneity of the paint to speak . I like to play with pattern and contrasting solid colour against the rhythm of detailed mark making.This piece is bold, contemporary and striking in any setting.
