This particular painting uses a very bright colour palette and lots of contrasting colours, representing all the beautiful things we see in Mother Nature everyday, with the table cover and the birds as accompanying elements adding in harmony to the brilliant image.

I strongly believe that colour can heal, and that these amazing plants can be considered fine art themselves. Nature is incredible. The Proteas, Banksias, lotus pods and other amazing flowers are the things that motivate and inspire me to paint more. Everytime I come home from a florist shop or just a walk, with these unbelievable plants still stuck in my head, and hopefully alongside me, I start painting, and I only stop when my hand cannot physically move anymore.

I painted this artwork with big and elegant strokes serving as the petals that are majestic and sophisticated themselves.The texture is exceptionally nice and satisfying. If you lean in closer to the painting, it is possible to see that every stroke has their own character and texture, as if I brought it to life and it decided to be a part of this colourful piece of work, that would look good on every background and would make any room shine.

In India lotus is a symbol of the spiritual accomplishment of a being, because of the obscurity associated with deeper water up to the flowering in the full light of the upper water. Thus the lotus represents the stages of spiritual progress.
