Artwork Description

*This work will be unavailable whilst it is exhibited in the Small Works Art Prize and can be viewed at the Brunswick St Gallery, Fitzroy*

This work is dedicated to the $80 a year I spend to watch bananas turn spotted and black on my kitchen bench.

This was a fun piece to paint and it conjures happy memories of all the ways that I've tried, sometimes in vain, to use up the hastily blackening and spotted bananas. From frozen for smoothies, to banana bread and even added to a curry once!
