This artwork was originally created as my first commission to be hung in a holiday house in Rye. Being a beach suburb I drew on my own beach surroundings using two boats that are usually moored just off from a jetty near the boat ramp in Altona and as in the painting a great resting place for cormorants. And no beach scene is complete without a seagull. I love how this painting captures one of my favourite spots.
This is the fourth print of the first edition of this painting of which there are a total of 5 prints made.
