These unique and beautiful bugs are called Tortoise Beetles, named so for the colourful designs on their shell often resembling the shape of a tortoise.
These majestic bugs weren't born into this world so beautiful (surprising to know), actually as larvae they are really quite ugly. If you don't believe me google it!
They are covered in spikes and as an extra measure for protection against predators they will also sometimes cover themselves in a shield of there own faeces.
