Katrina Goldsworthy is known as The Bull Artist. She specialises in Portraits of Bulls & People and paints using a unique method which involves painting the details of the bulls or person onto kangaroo hide in acrylic and sometimes scrapings of pastel, she then stitches the fine details and then the whole image is glued and stitched onto a painted canvas background. This creates a fabulous walk off the page realistic portrait. This painting was created for 'The Bull Artists Hero Piece' at Beef Week Rockhampton 2015 and depicts one of Australia's most beloved pastoralists Graeme Acton who was tragically killed in 2014. This painting was created on two pieces of kangaroo hide, one rough textured for horse, one softer for the portrait.
