Artwork Description

This collage reminds me of rainbows cascading down a watery abyss. I used a particle board with a black trim, and chose a pattern that adheres to commonly found patchwork in quilted textiles. This cut and pasted mosaic utilises images found in used magazines as though they were primary and raw materials, free to be re-contextualised and transplanted in a new landscape. In this rainbow the colours verge on neon, and its inverse, giving the piece a depth of colour.
