In this piece, I've captured an ethereal underwater dance, a blend of fluid motion and stillness. It's a visual symphony of colours bursting with life. The interplay between light and shadow, my model and the water, creates an almost dreamlike quality. I wanted to evoke the feeling of playing with nature's embrace, a moment suspended in time. This artwork exudes a tranquil energy, perfect for infusing any space with a sense of serene dynamism. Swishing and twisting in the rippling light of the surface of the warm water - finding my feet on the edge of the river bank to find some stillness despite the slow current - enjoying the enveloping feel of my white dress. Named after a line in Walter De La Mare’s poem “Mermaid”.
