Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This painting depicts the atmosphere of a street at night, with the incandescent light illuminating the colourful display of a night florist flowers. This contrasts with the evening atmosphere of the street behind. The Florist is called Flowers Vasette and is family run. Started by a Greek immigrant who apparently was the inspiration for the character, Con the Fruiterer, back in the day.
It was a finalist in the 2020 Clayton Utz Art Award and was displayed in their Brisbane offices during the year. Framed in light frame as depicted. Can be sold unframed with a suitable reduction in price. Contact the artist through bluethumb contact.

ON LOAN UNTIL 30 August 2021 AND DISPLAYED AS A FINALIST IN THE CLAYTON UTZ ART AWARD IN THE OFFICES OF CLAYTON UTZ, EAGLE STREET, BRISBANE.
